How unamusing. I submitted two recent entries to the
href="http://www.bookblog.net/gender/genie.php">Gender Genie. It decided that
yesterday's entry, in
which I talked about how I felt, was written by a female, while my
href="http://dichroic.diaryland.com/chanukah.html">Chanukah entry, which is
mostly description and history, was written by a male. Phooey.
The
algorithm appears to be based on keywords rather than content but I wonder if the
use of the different vocabulary might be endemic to one style of writing or the
other, rather than to the gender of the author.
The above was
purportedly written by a male, who is now off home to pack for camping this
weekend.
